Here's a screenshot of a Grafana graph during the backup window and here's the results of the Veeam backup. Actually, it appears that the 10Gb didn't help at all. My backup runs everyday at 5am and today I noticed that speeds were definitely low. A successful rescan of the share shows that Veeam has no trouble connecting. I was using the same SMB share over the 1Gb NIC but recently added the same share to Veeam over the 10Gb direct connection. An Iperf test from the NAS to the Windows VM report full 10Gb speeds so no issues with the connection as far as I am aware. I have a NAS with a 10Gb NIC direct connected to my ESXi Host serving a SMB share as a repo for Veeam. I am running the latest version of Veeam B&R on a Windows Server 2016 VM inside ESXi 6.7 U3 and the VM has the following specs: Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or later (64-bit) VBS not enabled Note: This is a learning environment, not production.
